In 2002, Amanda Downing joined the Dellutri Law Group, P.A. and in December 2008, she was named Partner.  Ms. Downing was born and raised in Lee County, Florida. In fact, she holds an original Florida Pioneer Descendant Certificate, which means her family settled in Florida before March 3, 1845, when Florida became a state. Ms. Downing graduated from Cypress Lake High School in 1993 and the University of South Florida in 1997. In December, 1999, she graduated from Stetson University College of Law. While in law school, Ms. Downing clerked for the Honorable Michael F. Andrews, Circuit Court Judge and the Honorable Elizabeth Kovacevich, Chief Judge for the Middle District of Florida. Ms. Downing was admitted to The Florida Bar in April, 2000.

Wanting to return to her roots, Ms. Downing began her legal career at a local Fort Myers insurance defense firm. After representing large insurance companies and corporations for two years, she realized that she opposed the daily custom of denying and undermining victim’s claims. For that reason, Ms. Downing decided to make a promising change and pursue a career as an advocate on behalf of victims who are injured due to the negligence of others. Accordingly, Ms. Downing joined the Dellutri Law Group, P.A. where she litigates Personal Injury and Wrongful Death cases.

Ms. Downing is licensed to practice in all state courts in Florida and the United States District Courts; Northern, Southern, and Middle Districts of Florida. She is also a member of the Florida Justice Association, the Lee County Bar Association and the prestigious Calusa Chapter of the American Inns of Court where she serves as a Barrister.

Ms. Downing has been an active volunteer with Hope Hospice since May 2007. She also speaks at our local public schools about legal studies and professionalism.
