The Debt Guy
We are glad you took the time to read the letter we sent. We know that being involved in a lawsuit can be extremely intimidating and stressful. Nothing strikes fear in an individual worse than a process server.
When someone files a lawsuit against you, they are trying to take something from you. Are you going to allow this to happen without a fight? Are you going to wait for the creditor to garnish your wages or bank account? We hope not.
Now is the time to act. Now is the time to defend yourself and learn what steps you can take to prevent or derail the debt collector's efforts. We want to help.
Why Did You Receive a Letter from Us?
The simple answer is this: you may be being sued for a debt. The courthouse records reveal that someone has filed a claim against you (or someone with the same name). Want to know who it was or how much they claim you owe? We’ve made it simple for you to begin your research.
Do you still have the letter we sent? You’ll need it for this part. Towards the top right of the letter, you’ll see the county and case number printed near your name.
First, you will select the county in which you are being sued. This will route you to the county clerk’s website where we found the lawsuit filed against you. You’ll be able to do a search by case number. Once you’ve verified this lawsuit, jump back over to our website to see what we can do to help you.
Verify Your Case
Now that you’ve had the chance to look into the matter straight from the court’s website, there are some things you can do to protect yourself.
If you are ready to take action to protect yourself and your family, call us now at (800) 391-4337.
