Because slow drivers can pose hazards to others on the road and lead to road rage incidents, Florida recently enacted a new law that allows them to be ticketed and fined much like a speeding driver.
The new regulation, dubbed the “road rage” law, makes it illegal for motorists to drive more than 10 miles below the speed limit in the left lane. It applies to all multiple-lane roadways. Violation of the new law could result in a $60 fine and would appear on your driving record just like a speeding ticket.
