Valuable Lessons From a Personal Injury Case

Recently, someone who was injured in a car accident came to us for representation after going to see another attorney who heavily advertises on television. After the other attorney turned her down, she came to me in desperation. She thought our firm only handled bankruptcy cases, and she was hesitant to reach out to me. However, I'm really glad she turned to our firm for help. She had a legitimate personal injury case, and at the end of the case, we were able to make a very successful settlement. From this situation, there are two valuable lessons to be learned:

It's Okay to Seek out the Advice of More Than One Attorney

If one attorney doesn't think you have a case, it's okay to seek out the advice of another attorney. It's perfectly okay to look and see if another attorney has a different opinion. Not every attorney will take all cases, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you don't have a case. I've seen this happen many times throughout my career. It's important to understand that attorneys handle different types of cases. If an attorney is not experienced in automobile accident cases, they may not have the knowledge needed to help you pursue the case. On the other hand, they may not think the case has enough value to make it worth pursuing. This doesn't mean that you should give up on your case – it only means you should seek out the advice of a different personal injury attorney to handle your case. If they both agree on the matter, at least you know that you did everything you could. But, as here, different attorneys may have different points of view. We knew exactly how to help this person, and we did just that.

Don't Be Afraid to Ask for Assistance

It can be intimidating to ask for assistance in your case, especially if you've already been turned down by another attorney. Even though I'm not on the radio or television all of the time, it's important to understand that I'm still here to help you. Sure, the Dellutri Law Group helps people with bankruptcy cases, but we also help many people fight their foreclosure and assist the injured in personal injury and wrongful death cases as well.

When you need assistance, don't be afraid to seek out the advice of an attorney. If you need an attorney or think you may need one, we can assist you in finding the right attorney for your needs – even if that's not us. We know which attorneys handle certain types of cases, and we will gladly assist you in your search for the perfect attorney. This is a promise we make to all of our clients.

Everyone at the Dellutri Law Group knows the importance of the attorney-client relationship and how having a good relationship with your attorney can help enhance any legal matter that you are facing. We have established many relationships with attorneys in the communities in which we practice, and we want people to take advantage of these relationships. If you don't know which attorney is right for your case, give us a call and ask who we would recommend. This will reduce your stress and allows you to narrow down your search significantly.

So, if you or a friend or loved one is in need of help, please call us and ask for assistance. If I'm not available, please ask for my paralegal, Alaina, or our office manager, Christie. They will make sure I get the message so I can get back to you as soon as possible with a referral.

You don't have to go through your legal troubles alone. The next time you're in need of an attorney, give us a call. We'll happily help you with your case or find you an attorney that may be able to. How many Attorneys have made that offer to you before? I'm willing to bet that the majority of you will answer - None. Some Attorneys talk a good game, but, when push comes to shove, will they really be there to assist in your time of trouble or help you get to the proper Attorney? I will.
