On the day of your meeting of creditors, show up early and look for your attorney. At the Dellutri Law Group, you’ll either see Carmen Dellutri, David Lampley, David Fineman or Joe LoTempio at your meeting of creditors. First thing you’ll want to do is to meet with your attorney and ask any questions that you have. While you wait for your meeting of creditors, listen to the trustee ask the questions to the person who is going before you. If you don’t know the answer to a question that your creditor asks, it’s okay to say “I don’t know” or “I have paperwork at home, and I’ll get back to you.” Most of the time, our clients leave the meeting thinking, “That was it?” Although it may seem intimidating, the meeting of creditors isn’t as bad as the buildup leading up to it.
