When it comes right down to it, the choice of an attorney is an important decision. So, before you make a decision, ask yourself these questions:
- Am I going to pick an attorney because he has a silly jingle on TV or on the radio?
- Am I going to pick an attorney who pointed his finger at me and yells on TV?
- Am I going to pick an attorney who is a rookie right out of law school?
- Am I going to pick an attorney who uses clichés like, “I’ll get you the maximum compensation under the law,” or something silly like this? (It just sounds ridiculous, doesn’t it?)
- Am I going to hire the first lawyer I find because, aren’t all attorneys the same anyway?
- Do you want any attorney who does a lot of talking and not a lot of listening? This is not just another case, this is your future we are talking about.
No, of course you’re not, because you know that there is more to the story than meets the eye! Now that you have thought about this for a minute, you may be wondering, “Why would an attorney be pointing this out to me?” Well, it’s because we have always been different.
We don’t take all of the cases that contact our office just to be able to say, “We are the largest.” We selectively take the cases of those clients we want to work with. We believe our quality of life is directly related to the quality of the work we provide our clients. Sure, we could take more cases and spread ourselves thinly; however, our clients would suffer, and that would not make us happy.
We learned that, by operating this way, we are also able to spend more time communicating with our clients than other firms.
Our results speak for themselves: Our clients refer others to us; our employees are happy. We get the job done for our clients each and every day. We get calls all the time from people who want to change attorneys because they are not being treated properly. When it comes down to it, we believe you should be making your decision based on good, sound principles.
When researching a law firm, ask yourself:
- Do they have a track record of proven results?
- Do they have longevity practicing law in our own community?
- Do their attorneys give back to the community?
- Are their attorneys respected amongst their peers?
- Are they respected by our local judges?
- Are they respected by their own teams?
Remember, all attorneys are not created equally. Different law firms have different business models. Maybe the attorneys who are telling you they treat you like family aren’t telling the whole truth in all those advertising campaigns. What would their paralegals and legal assistants say about how they treat them?
We believe you should make a decision based not only on your research but on personality and intuition, too! It’s okay to ask intimate questions about the law firm; in fact, we hope you do!
We are a team of relentless legal advocates in the business of providing hope to those who have lost it. Our firm is singularly focused on our clients and we will help you make the best possible legal decisions for your and your family’s future.
