Popular country music singer Michael Ray has been arrested on DUI and drug charges. Ray crashed into another car while at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Eustis. The arrest report notes that a bottle with brown liquid was found in Ray’s car (Ray told police that it was ‘weed oil.’).
Ray claims that he was waiting in the drive-thru when his foot slipped off of the pedal causing his car to crash into the car ahead of him. He is currently being held on a $6,000 bond. Ray is the singer behind the hit 2015 country songs, ‘Kiss You in the Morning’ and ‘Real Men Love Jesus.’
Ray has a scheduled concert coming up in February in Thousand Oaks, California at the New Faces of Country Music showcase - there’s no word yet as to whether or not this recent arrest will impact his appearance at that festival.
