David Lampley is a native Floridian and a long time Southwest Florida Resident. Mr. Lampley is a proud Bishop Verot alumnus and graduate of Barry University School of Law.

Having left Southwest Florida for his undergraduate studies in the Carolinas, David worked for the NFL’s Carolina Panthers for two years as an athletic trainer, before deciding to return home and pursue a career in the legal profession.

Who Is David When He’s Not Being an Attorney?

David and his beautiful wife Rebecca have a full house with four boys who are all growing up too fast. While no longer actively working in the athletic training field, sports is never far from the forefront of life outside the office. Five nights a week and often both Saturday and Sunday you are likely to see Mr. Lampley and his family at the local athletic field, sometimes multiple fields in the same day. Baseball, soccer, football- you name it they have been there and coached that. “Thank you to my wife for being the backbone that keeps a household of boys with smelly socks, dirty uniforms, and hectic schedule on track so that we don’t miss a game or practice.”

Becoming a husband and father has strengthened his professional life as well as enriching his personal life. “My family has brought compassion, understanding, and patience to my life and has changed the lens in which I view the world. I understand, much more so now than as a young attorney, that for most people everything is viewed through the prism of family. Trying to support them, protect them, be there for them, or sometimes just to make them proud is at the heart of every decision.” It is important to approach each interaction with a potential client with these thoughts in mind when considering how a client came to need advice and more importantly when looking at how to help a client move forward to reach their goals or meet their current needs.

David’s legal career began while still in law school, working to represent foster children stuck in a system that too often looked the other way at the atrocities that they were facing or worse yet was ignoring them completely. Upon graduation, he joined the Dellutri Law Group, PA and has focused his work on those individuals who are facing difficulties caused by large companies who are looking the other way or ignoring the realities of the individuals’ rights and economic circumstances. Currently, the primary focus of Mr. Lampley’s work is on consumer bankruptcies while also assisting in litigation of violations of various State and Federal consumer protection statutes such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

“There is nothing more satisfying on a professional level that seeing the client take a deep breath and relive the stress and the many sleepless nights they have been experiencing, just by having a plan to deal with their financial struggles or relief from the harassing phone calls. There is often more work to be done, but to see that initial relief is a motivating factor each and every day.”

David is licensed to practice law in all State Court is Florida as well as the United States District Court for the Northern, Southern, and Middle Districts of Florida. He is a member of the Florida Bar.
